On the fourth day of creation, God placed the moon and sun
One to rule the daytime, the other from dusk to dawn
Giving heat and giving light, controlling all the oceans tides
Each one serves a purpose, from a scientific view
But there’s a spiritual purpose just as well that is known by very few
Signs, and appointed times, all by God’s design
Throughout the day and night, the sun and moon show more than light
Signs, and appointed times, there for all to find
Omens, warnings and messages, about the days just ahead of us
Signs and appointed times point to God’s future plans, for mankind
From Adam and Eve, to the worldwide flood of Noah
The exodus from Egypt, to the wilderness times of Moses
The tabernacle, Feast and death of Christ
The church He sent forth to be the light
Are shadows and types of a kingdom that’s coming soon
Predicted by the cycles of the sun and of the moon
While deciding to ignore it, is popular now a days
Refusing to believe it, won’t make the message go away
